Come and discover how students in two levels of Chinese interact with the target language through a Tai Chi Master guest speaker in a culturally appropriate setting. This project provides opportunities for students to improve their language proficiency and in-depth cultural understanding through interpersonal speaking communication, interpersonal written communication, and interpretive reading and listening communication. Advanced students interact with the Tai Chi Master using their previous knowledge regarding the Chinese Martial Arts. Students write culturally authentic thank you letters and cards to the guest speaker and receive a reply.
